11. Joseph Willis – Served as a Confederate Postal Office courier at the outbreak of the war while only fourteen. He later was sent out as a Private -10th Battalion, Georgia Infantry. His pocket Colt revolver is still in family hands. He survived the war and died in 1921.

53. William N. Mayfield – Private – Co. D. Wade Hampton’s Legion. Survived war, William N Mayfield died on 11 December 1908 at age 64. He was buried at Old Silverbrook Cemetery, Anderson County, South Carolina.  WILLIAM ENLISTED IN THE CONFEDERATE ARMY SOON AFTER THE START AND SERVED THROUGHOUT AND WAS HELD A PRISONER ABOUT 6, MO AT ROCK ISLAND , Illinois. He appeared on the census of 3 September 1850 in the household of John Mayfield and Rebecca Bryant at Eastern Sub Division, Anderson County, South Carolina.

BRAMLETT’S COMPANY, 18th REG OF SC VOLUNTEERS BUT ENLISTED FOR 3 YEARS. He and Mary Bryant appeared on the census of 1850 at Eastern Subdivision, Anderson County, South Carolina.
